Did you know that garage organization has become the fastest growing segment in the multibillion dollar home improvement industry? "The garage is the new frontier," says Barry Izsak, author of Organize Your Garage in No Time. The average American home that has a two-car garage still has so much stuff in the garage they don't have room for the cars. And while millions and billions of dollars are spent every year on the inside of the home, the one room in the house that has the biggest opening and shows all your neighbors your unsightly mess, gets a fraction of the remodel budget. It has become the family dumping ground, the place to put your stuff you don't know what to do with. However all that is changing. The garage organization is now a $3billion dollar industry. And one of the hottest garage-organizing products on the market is overhead storage racks.
For those homeowners in need of more storage but who don't want the hassle of a major remodel, the perfect solution is the existing ceiling in your garage. Almost every homeowner has wasted space in the garage that is not being utilized, their garage ceiling. Garage overhead storage racks take advantage of this wasted space and can provide and abundance of storage space.
These racks are perfect to store seasonal items, holiday decorations, legal boxes, suitcases and bulky items that won't fit in cabinets. Made of high-quality industrial steel, the racks are depth adjustable to maximize ceiling space and come in a variety of sizes and colors to meet your needs.
The largest units measure 8' x 4' and can hold upwards of over 100 cubic feet storage and upto 600 lbs of weight. The better racks are framed units with 12 points of attachment to the ceiling to prevent the units from falling or sagging in the middle. Most units are powder-coated to protect against rust and corrosion and have lifetime warranty. They even have wire-grid decks to help see your items from below. Some even have add-on accessories to hang items from underneath; e.g., a ladder, folding tables, bikes and skis. And make sure your overhead racks come with safety/cargo netting to wrap the racks and keep your precious items from falling out. The last thing you want is a $20 suitcase falling on your $100,000 Mercedes.
So the next time you need of more storage, just walk out into the garage, look up, and think "overhead storage racks!"

In Huntsville and all of North Alabama, when people think of a home, they also think of a two-car garage. Most Alabamians want to use their garage to park their car in and not leave it in the driveway or in front of their house susceptible to the weather and careless drivers. Unfortunately, most Southerners do not use their garage as a place to park their car, but use it as a storage facility attached to their house. Their garage is filled with bikes, toys, tools, camping equipment, and holiday decorations. Huntsville Garage Shapeups is your local garage storage and garage organization company.
If your garage is full of everything but the car, then you might need to Google garage organizers to help you find a solution to your storage problem. There are many places that sell equipment to help you organize your garage. There are even many Web sites that can give you great ideas on how to organize your garage.
When your house was designed, there was a purpose for each and every space in your home. The garage was not designed to be another storage room for your toys and holiday decorations. It was built to fit your car and maybe a few other things, like your lawn mower.
One of the first things you should do is get rid of the trash. There are probably several things in your garage that you no longer use. These items can be donated to a favorite charity, or you can have a garage sale and earn some extra money. Take some time with your family and go through your garage and set aside the things you no longer are using or that you, or your children, have outgrown.
Now that you have cleared away some of that extra clutter in your garage, sit down and decide where you want things to go. By deciding where you want everything to go in your garage, you can design your garage to be more functional. If you are having problems coming up with design ideas, you can go to your local hardware store or the internet to get some helpful ideas.
Deciding on how you want to use your garage will help you with your design. If you are into working in your garage, then you might not want to fill it with two cars, you might want to leave room for your hobbies. Once you know how you want to use your garage, the job becomes a lot easier.
Look at what you have left in your garage. Now you need to decide where you are going to put your things. If you have a lot of things that need to be hung up, then you might need a wall organizer. If you need a work space for your hobby, then you might want to make sure you have a place to work.
Whether you Google Salt Lake garage organizers or Seattle garage organizers, you are now ready to turn your garage into a place you can use and also be proud of, Classy Closets ( http://www.saltlakeclosetorganization.com/contact/ ) can help with; your car will be so happy to be sleeping in the garage.Article Source: https://EzineArticles.com/expert/Brenda_Erickson/1964093Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/8730206
Huntsville Garage Shapeups is the most trusted and popular brand in North Alabama in garage storage design and installation. How does the buying process go? What is involved?
1. An appointment is made by phone for an on-site consultation and estimate. This is free.
2. Nick Dixon, the owner, comes out for a visit. He listens to your needs and wants and learns what your "vision" is for your garage.
3, He will answer questions. He will take measurements. He will show you options and solutions available. He will take a lot of notes.
4. Nick goes back to his office. Using his notes and measurements, he creates a drawing of what he considers to be the perfect layout, arrangement and product line-up to meet your expectations.
5. He will also create a cost sheet or written estimate. These two documents are then emailed to you.
6. If you have any questions or see any changes you wish to make, Nick and you will confer by phone.
7. You decide what you wish to move forward with. You then send in a 50% material deposit. When that deposit is received,Nick or his son, Trey, will call you to set up a day for the install.
8. The installers will arrive around 8:00 to 8:30 on your install days. There will be a two man crew. The install will take 1/2 or a full day to install. Large cabinet orders may take longer.
9. You give the installer a check or authorize payment by phone for the remaining 50% owed on the balance.
10. You enjoy your new garage storage and organization system. You have the peace of mind knowing your install was done by the best in the business and everything including parts and labor carries a lifetime warranty.
Notes: Cabinet orders require longer time to deliver and install. the cabinets are custom sized, cut and assembled. Other storage projects including shelving, overhead racks, bike racks and slat wall generally take about two weeks from the day of the estimate to the time the install is completed. During peak season, May-July, that is true. The remainder of the year that time may be reduced to 6-8 days.
